I have just purchased my brand new internal Pioneer 108 and have installed it on my G4 tower. Toast 6 Titanium sees it. System profiler sees it (see below):

Now my questions are: Why don't i get more than 4X dvd burn? and why do i constantly have 2 buffer errors (see attachments)? I have included my system info below. In simulation mode the cd burns but the dvd still does not.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Stylis

Solved

Ok, I have figured it out on my own... I'll post my solution just in case someone else can benefit.

1. Q: Why don't i get more than 4X dvd burn?
A: The disks I was using were disks that I had previously bought
(generic no brand name)---> they were only meant for a 4X burn

2. Q: Why do i constantly have 2 buffer errors?
A: I needed to update my Toast to vs. 6.0.7... D'oh!

The drivers haven't been updated to OSX 10.3.5 yet. But the newest update to Toast actually states it supports the Pioneer 108.

I hope it helps.
