Hi folks! Just got myself a Pioneer DVR 109 and installed it in my Quicksilver G4 (867MHz). I updated the firmware to 1.57 using the software linked to on xlr8yourmac.com, but burning in the Finder doesn't seem to be supported for me in Tiger (10.4.2). I also tried Patchburn 4, but that didn't help. Why does it work for everyone else?

Also, I'm using 16x media, but Toast only lets me write to it at 12x. What's going on here? Thanks a lot!

On a similar note..........I too just installed a new DVD burner. Do I need to install any firmware? Is firmware a normal thing to download? Why do I not know any of this stuff?

The only prob I have with my DVR-109 is that I saw an ad for a DVR-110 that just came out. $10 cheaper and supports DVD-RAM.... hmmmm
