I have purchased a Pioneer DVR 109 OEM. It is brand new. It will work on PC's, but there is no supported software on the Pioneer web-site for the Mac on this drive. They only support PC's. Pioneer tells me that the 109 won't work with a Mac. I've been to the Patchburn site, and downloaded and installed the software for this drive. Although System Profiler recognises this drive, and it states 'vendor supported', when I came to burn a DVD disc, and when I inserted this disc into my DVD Player, it came up with 'Disk Error', and wouldn't play. Maybe I have to update the Firmware for this drive, but how do I this on a Mac. I can see that I might have to connect this to a PC to do this.

Any thoughts on this matter, will be much appreciated.

Thanking You All,

Regards

PS I am using a G-4 Tower - AGP Graphics computer 500Mhz, with 768 Mb of memory. (This is actual memory - Virtual Memory is switched off). I used a Pioneer 108 drive previously, without any problems.
