PiP window location

So why are you not able to put the PiP window wherever you want? You can drag around, rotate and resize it, but it will always fall back to one of the corners.
Quite annoying and stupid, is there a way to bypass this?

The same thought process that only allows for 25%/50%/75% horizontal side by side windows. Its just how the PIP functionality is structured.
