Hey,
when i went to bed alst night, my powerbook pismo was charging as usual. When i woke up and opened it up from sleep I found that it wasnt charging, but at 99 percent. I rebooted and got nothing. I analyzed the power brick and heard a faint clicking noise inside it whenever it was plugged in. I havent tried a PMU reset but im close to doing it. Would that help?

Also, if it is a bad power brick, is there any way i can cut off the conector end and attach it to another 45w power supply? make a custom supply?

help im loosing juice fast!!!

Thanks,
Hunter

Hi there,

I've got a pismo that has a "yo-yo" adapter. I think it was a replacement. There are several apple laptops that all use the same adapter, for example the 1st gen iBook. So, it should be possible to mix and match. Making your own really isn't necessary.

There are several "yo-yo" adapters on eBay for about $20-$30. Try one of those.

By the way, 99% is normal when you leave it on the charger for a while...
