pismo battery issue

HI all, I bought a pismo from ebay and it worked fine. Sadly with covid etc I forgot to charge it for months. Now it seems to be pretty dead. Any thoughts? My guess I need to hunt for a new battery (can it somehow run just off of charger?). Also how do you keep these devices running? Charge once a week or ???

If anyone has a place they buy replacement parts from (other than ebay), please post them.

There were battery reconditioner applets available under OS9 but I’m not sure if they work on the Pismo.
As far as replacement, it will be worth your while to investigate re-packing yours with new cells. If you or a friend can solder, it’s quite manageable at a reasonable cost.
