Pismo question

Anyone herel speak Pismo?

My Pismo starts up ok. Then comes the Apple icon. THEN a black rectangle 3 inches wide and 1.5 deep. No further progress.

Any clues as to what might correct the situation?

1. Reset the PMU and PRAM
2. Try reinstalling your operating system
3. Try reseating the RAM/Processor card

If it still doesn't work after that, then it could be a botched Logic board or processor
