I inherited a Powerbook G3/Pismo a few months ago and would like to repair the screen. There is a white vertical line of a few pixels that appears in the middle. Do I need to replace the entire screen or just the display cable, inverter? Thinking of buying a dead Pismo for parts. I'm attaching a photo, thanks in advance.

Most definitely not inverter. Possibly LVDS cable. Most likely display panel.

thanks for the quick reply. i was hoping it wouldn't be the panel...looks like buying a dead pismo is the cheapest way to go.
