Pitaka Air Case VS Monocarbon Case Watch Ultra

Have the Pitaka Air Case for my Ultra and while I absolutely love the case and the looks it provides it did scratch the side of my watch ultra after taking it on and off a few times. Looking on Amazon I noticed another high dollar carbon case by a company called Monocarbon.

I ordered one and it came in today and it will be going right back. The fit, finish and case IMO just plain suck. Looks like they just glued on extra carbon to go around the screen and it has sharp jagged edges inside along the display. The fit is poor, and it just looks crappy.
The only thing better than the Pitaka was the packaging.

Yea, they are not going to replace the watch. It does bother me, my OCD can't handle crap like this. It's sucks but there is not much I can do.

Sorry to hear about your AWU. AWU is my first Apple Watch, it was purchased for AFIB and works perfectly for it. After reading your review and problem, I looked on AMZ and ordered the Ringke Air Sports. So far (2 weeks) so good. Take a look.

Do you think the Pitaka case scratched your watch while taking it off/on? Or did it scratch while the case was on?

My air case has a little bit of play while on the watch. I’m wondering if the Watch could get scratched by the friction.

Definitely taking it on and off. The scratches are on the left side where the action button and speaker are. Mine fits tight and does not have any play.

That sucks! My main reason for getting this case was to prevent scratches. Kinda defeats the purpose.

My case was fine the first time I put it on. After taking it off twice for cleaning, the fit got a tiny bit looser. Hoping Pitaka’s warranty will help.
 
I complained to Pitaka about the scratch to my watch caused by their case. Ultimately they sent me carbon watch band, AirPods Pro 2 case and in car MagSafe charger. Almost $200 worth of gear! Result! I did go in hard on them!
