I am a fitness instructor and in the past we were using CD's as a source of music and using the pitch control knob of the amplifier to synchronise the beat of the music to the aerobic moves.
Now, that I am using an iPod as my source of music , the pitch control knob does not interact with any sources coming through the auxilliary plug. Is there anyway I can integrate a Pitch control mode (app, hardware, program) into my iPod or iTouch?
An average song is usually 136bpm. At time I need to reduce the pitch to 128bpm or increase the pitch to 144bpm. Thank you for helping me with this issue.

Are the beats consistent? You might have to change them in garage band first, then load different versions onto the iPod.
