PithHelmet requires Safari 3.0.4...

I am trying to install PithHelmet in order to avoid ads. I have used it before with great success (insert random Borat reference here).

I go to install it, and I get "The version of PithHelmet is only compatible with Safari 3.0.4." and am forced to quit.

I am using 3.0.4. Is there a way to edit a file or something to turn off the 'detection' of the version of Safari?
