PixelJunk: Shooter

Flower is a must buy for PS3 owners.

It was on sale for five dollars a few weeks ago, maybe it still is?

The GF loves it, it's the only video game she's ever beat on her own.
 
I bought it pretty much the instant the update went out. And it's a quick download, 100mb, 2 minutes. Yay!

Amazing game. I love the music too, and the elemental (water, fire, etc) features are sweet.
 
PixelJunk games are a mixed bag.

I loved Monsters, hated Racers, hated Eden and I'm reluctant to try Shooter. So how does it play? Is the quality on par with Monsters?

I also thought the contest PixelJunk held to name "Shooter" was ridiculous. If they were just going to name it Shooter why hold a contest? They should have named it Elements or something to differentiate it from Everyday Shooter.
 
^The code name was Pixel junk 1-4 and "shooter" was a contestant entry so even though its not the "epic" name we were hoping for it did give the community a buzz they wanted.

I'm trying to get a perfect run on each level before I move on but I always seem to shoot one of the little guys or get them flambéed by the larva...The elements physics are cool.
