I'm doing a design, and once I'm done, I'd like to see if it would suit the 8bit style graphics treatment, but I don't want to spend ages redrawing it only to find it doesn't work.

Are there any free apps or sites out there where you can throw in an image and it'll add an 8bit style filter?

Wouldn't have to produce the finished item, just to see if I like the way it could look.

Thanks.

Pixelmator has a pixelate filter.

A quick hack is to resize a image to something small and then resize it to original size, using nearest neighbour as the resizing method. You might have to try a few sizes.
