Pixelmator on a macbook

I have a macbook Core2Duo 2.0GHz with two gigs of ram, but pixelmator runs off the graphics card. Is a macbook good enough for pixelmator? I want a cheap alternative to Photoshop, and I really don't like gimpshop.

Is Pixelmator a photoshop replacement? What's it missing that PS has?

Pixelmator is now available to purchase, I received an email from them this very morning. I have moved between different graphics/photo editors in my time, from GraphicConvertor to ChocoFlop, but Pixelmator certainly looks the nicest. Whether it is any good, only time will tell.
