Placed an order for an iPhone, and im not there to receive it, then what?

Hi,

I had a question, I want to place an order for the iPhone 6 64 GB Gold Tmobile. Delivery estimates are 1-2 weeks. Im set to leave for India on 20th November and will be back after a month. Now if the delivery is not as per schedule, what happens next?

Will UPS attempt to deliver 3 times post which they will hold it at their local pick up center and for how long will they keep it? if I fail to collect the package as 1 month may be a long time for them to keep it, does it go back to apple, if yes, do I get my money back? or does it get delivered to my next door neighbor or do they leave the phone on my doorstep?

Please advice.

You get three tries, after the 3rd failure, the phone get sent back to apple and you'll receive a refund.

Why not ask a friend or neighbor to claim it for you? They will deliver it to a neighbor of you fill out the release form.

It will ship fedex, you can setup delivery manager and do a vacation hold.
