Places just shows grid

Yes, I searched, so if the answer is well known, please refrain from the typical bashing.

When I hit places in photo app, all I see is pins on a grid where I assume a map should be. I have full signal, and the maps app shows maps just fine.

Thanks for any tips.

I've been finding places to be a bit buggy as well. Nothing would show after i took a couple of pics, then i would sync and they would show up. I'd take another picture, but it wouldn't be listed under places. If i opened up the camera and take another pic, the previous would show, but no the most recent. Going to try a clean install NOT from backup....

Took about 20 seconds, but the map eventually showed up for me.

Zoom in or out...see if that kicks it into gear.

Sadly, not for me...even tried a phone restart, but no luck.

OK, so i went to camera for the first time on ios4, and it asked to use location...i said yes, and now it shows map...if that helps anyone problem solved!

Well, I DID go to Camera first, so I guess that's why it worked for me.
