Has Apple removed the "places" function from the camera roll which displays a map with pins of all the places you've taken gps-tagged photos?

If not, what is the procedure for accessing this feature is ios7?

Thanks.

Did you look at the link I provided ??
You can apparently access Places via the Collections tab (haven't tried it, don't care about Places myself - I remember where I have been)

In iOS 6, Places included all photos. In iOS 7, you can see at the most a single year worth of pictures. This killed the way I used Places (being able to quickly pull up all photos from a certain place, no matter the year, was really great for me as a parent), and the current version is simply uninteresting for me.

Yes I did, and it looks like it is not equivalent to the feature that was included in previous iOS versions.

I remember most places I've been too, but it's nice to be able to see it mapped.

Maybe someone will eventually write a third party app for this.

Thanks.

Go in monents, collections or even year and just tap the place name bar and it brings up the map. Not difficult.
