Plain Text Search App

I have a collection of 800 or so plain text files that I would like to make available to my iPhone, preferably using iCloud, not DropBox. I need to be able to search within all of them at once. Spotlight on Mac does exactly what I want. Spotlight on iOS only looks for titles.

Anybody out there know of a text editor or other app that can search within multiple files?

You can do this in Documents by Readdle.

It’s not a feature I’ve used before, but I’ve just tried it and it works. I only have a couple of text files in it though, so I have no idea how it will perform with 800 files. My guess is it will be fine, and I believe it’s free, so it won’t cost you anything to find out.
