I've never had a comp with a 7200 RPM HD, nor have used one. On my current HD (250 gigs), I have 1 gig left of space, I plan on buying a new HD soon (along with RAM but that's off-topic :D). What brand do you recommend, and which do you think I should get. *I dunno if there is a 7200 RPM 500 gig, if there is, please tell me *no samsungs please =D*.

Dell carries their brand 500GB 7200rpm drive. The warranty is only 1 year from Dell.

i just bought WD Scorpio Black 320gb.
will write how it holds up..
ill put my old 5400 to an enclosure :)

no idea i never had scorpio blue.
it doesnt produce any clicking :)
boot up is faster but still slow, that is i presume due to defragmenting i did and will take a few boot ups and a clean up to get better.
its great, logic feels much snappier, it starts recording with less lag and in general is more responsive.
very pleased. the drive also doesnt produce much more heat and/or noise. how ever more it is its unnoticable

I got one last week, need to find a T6 screwdriver though, to put it in my MacBook.

haha, yeah. i couldnt find the T6 anywhere. i tried with a 5 or 6 i dont remember Imbus (hex). just had to be very careful and it didnt leave a mark when i unscrewed it.
