Planning on getting a MBP. Advice?

Would the basic MBP 13' be suffiecent for short / basic video editing?

Go ahead and buy now or is a new one coming out soon that I should wait for?

new macbookpro might be out tomorrow or next month or next year.

For now I would say wait a month.

I would wait until WWDC before purchasing. It's too close to buy now. 13" is more than enough for basic video/photo work. I'd almost be tempted be tempted pick up the 15" if it isn't too heavy after the supposed redesign/changes (depending on if it's in budget, of course).

As someone noted an hour or so ago. The Apple stores are currently down and being updated. Perhaps your wait is over for the new models.

Just because the store is taken down, is in no way an indicator that new systems are being added. They must do regular maintenance.

Instead of doing it late at night, or early the next day when traffic is light, Apple pulls down the store whenever they feel like it, with no consideration for anyone but themselves.
