Logitech Z-5500 and optical cable.

Done

P.S. the mbp does support 5.1, but unfortunately only from certian sources. You won't be able to game in bootcamp in surround via optical.

Bose Companion 5. The simulate surround sound. like Insulin Junkie pointed out MBP's dont support surround sound so they really are your best option. and i know it sounds silly but the bose really do a good job simulating it.

I second this! I know Bose doesn't always do the best job with simulating surround sound (the 321 systems) but these Companion 5s do a great job. I have the 3s and they are fantastic and have heard the 5s sound even better!

Bose never does the best job with sound, ever.

oh no teej im not doing the Bose argument with you again hahaha.:p

im listening to them right now. they really are incredible COMPUTER speakers. by no means are they a real surround sound system but they are in my opinion the best computer speakers out there for under $400.
