Plans and at&t plans

OK with the endless amounts of information, and I have tried to find the answer in the search so I apologize if this is hear but after a 1/2 hr of looking through all the searches and then waiting 10 secs to find out I didn't search my listing right....


I am pleased to say iphone coming in a few days!

This is what I want:
no 2 year contract
just voice
and 250 texts for a monthly rate no per text

So does that mean I have to jailbreak my phone so I do not have 2 year contract?
Call and cancel data at at&t?

You're not going to be able to get out of the two year contract without buying the iPhone for the full price, that's if I'm understanding you right

You need to Jailbreak/Activate and sign up with GoPhone.

You need to Jailbreak/Activate and sign up with GoPhone.

No need to activate since the iPhone will still be with AT&T (GoPhone). I have one of my iPhones set up this way. If you activate the phone with an AT&T sim, YouTube won't work. All this person needs to do is unlock and jailbreak (if they wish).

AT&T offers 200 SMS for $4.95 and 1500 for $9.95.

If it's new from Apple, just sign up for a GoPhone plan and add a text message package to it.
If you ordered it directly from AT&T, you are going to be under contract already.
You have 14 days to cancel it.
