Panasonic is a great brand. And the price is pretty good. The resolution is only 1024x768 which is probably why is so inexpensive. All the 1080p sets are going to come out soon so they are trying to move the 720p set. Blue-ray and hd-dvd both play in 1080p, not that the Panasonic won't play it but you wont get the full res.

I've been looking for a new TV, and have settled on plasmas over LCDs. I am currently looking at this model: Panasonic TH-42PX75U at Circuit City for $1439 . http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/howT...erClick=STORE_PICKUP&showMoreStores=true#tabs

I haven't heard anything bad about the Panasonics. Is this a good TV and deal?

Would this work with the Apple TV? I appreciate any thoughts.

Yes. Its an amazing deal. I bought a previous gen Panasonic almost 3 years ago for over 8,000 and I dont even regret it.

It has an HDMI port and it supports 1080i/720p/480i/480p

Panasonic makes amazing Plasma HDTV's I would highly highly recommend it. I would even go as far as to say I wouldnt recommend any other brand over Panasonic.
