Hello everyone

I just found something very interesting which belongs to my dad. He worked in an Apple reseller's store here in Belgium in the early 80s.

This is a plastic briefcase (?) with the very first macintosh logo on it. Only one was given to apple resellers per store, just when the macintosh was introduced, which makes it a very rare object I think. Neither have I seen it anywhere on the net before.

Does anyone else have this or did anyone know about its existence till now? Anyway, I'm not planning on selling it, but I'd like to know how rare it is and what it would be worth.

P.S.: It was empty when he got it :)

They are quite rare but not as rare as you think, I have 1 in storage that I was given by one of mac collecting friends. I think he got his around the time of the Mac IIci.

There are quite a few floating around in the store cuboards at the Paces school.

I haven't seen that for ages,
My father got one like that, although I don't know what he did with it.
and since I'm not talking to the dude, I won't know what happened with it.

I had a freind that had one he said that Apple was going to give them away as a promotion to the Macintosh but proved to costly.
