I recently received my CTO MacBook Pro this afternoon, and I was wondering if Apple has applied an adhesive clear plastic sheet over the new MacBook Pro's display intended to be peeled off. Mine looks as though there may be one to peel off, but I want to make sure before putting too much effort into trying to get it off... Anyone else peel one of these of their new MacBook Pro?

Thanks...

Nope, I hope you're not talking about the glass sheet that covers the display.

What makes it look like there is a plastic film? You seeing bubbles in the glass or something? I thought I had heard a report of that somewhere else, can't remember if it was a 15" or 17".

Well the glass when manufactured and before installation comes with a plastic cling (like the rubbery ones you get on cell phones); but that's usually just for replacement parts; you shouldn't have that on a retail machine.
