Play back movie on multiple computers?

I have a weird one here.

Airplay is cool if you want to switch the a video to a different computer or AppleTV, but is there a way to control a movie to be played on multiple Macs in the house. For example, having the movie play in the kitchen and in the bedroom, or anywhere else and being able to pause it with the remote if needed?
