Play Button, media button not working on High sierra.

Hi world. i couldn't find a thread about this. forgive me if i missed it. but the "play button" "skip, rewind, etc" on my keyboard are not working right. before high sierra, i was able to browse the web, with itunes playing and when i wanted to watch a video on safari, i would hit "play button" to pause the music to listen to the web video....

but now when im browsing web and i hit "play/pause" it does not stop music, instead it plays/ pauses the video on the web. completely backwards. and quite frustrating. counterproductive at its core.

does anyone know how to fix this in terminal or another natural source (not third party apps)?

thanks! apparently theres no natural way of fixing this. its just a grabage on apples part. i have tried the safe mode workaround. that did nothing. reset the rams. that did nothing. theres nothing you can do in-house. Apple just needs to fix this aggrevation. All we could do is submit feedback to them. https://www.apple.com/feedback/macos.html
