Play button randomly triggering (possibly heat issues?)

I have a mbp late 2013

I'm having issues with apple music randomly opening.
I lurked into logs and i found that Play/pause key is triggered somehow.
My theory is that the heat generated near the key is causing it, it's very hot near the key.

I'm using an external monitor and because of this i have temperatures immediately rising.

In this COVID-19 times it's getting hard to get someone to do maintenance on it (thermal paste, clean fans etc), adding to this, my country don't have official apple support.

I'm thinking about buying a cooling pad, not sure how effective this is.
Do i have any more alternatives ?

If your keyboard is hot to the touch when you use an external display, the problem is the heat.

What is the resolution setting for the second display? Do your temps still go up if you force res down to 1080p?
