i seem to have the opposite issue to everyone else on here in that I replaced my logitech keyboard with a new mac aluminium extended wired keyboard and now when I hit the play button it no longer opens iTunes.

All I could find here was people looking to turn off this feature in Snow Leopard....

anyone know how I get it back??

Pressing play on the keyboard will start iTunes playing, but only if it's already running. It's not designed to launch the app. I'm sure you can reprogram it to do so.

?
Strange... I have done no adjustments... it keeps working for me.
Mac Pro '08, Mac OS X 10.6.3, keyboard is from 2009 though.... wired with numeric keypad.

MacBook Pro, Early 2008, Mac OS X 10.6.3, iTunes 9.1, Apple Wireless Keyboard (but it doesn't work from the MBP's built-in keyboard, either)
