I have 3 HomePods in the house, on the same WiFI network and signed into the same Apple ID. When I use the above command to Siri on the HomePod playing it doesn't play in all rooms. Anyone come across this particular issue?

I tried it myself.
  1. I ask the HomePod to play something,
  2. Music starts,
  3. I ask siri to "play this in all rooms"
  4. Siri responds "Now playing everywhere"
  5. BUT it's only playing on the original HomePod
  6. Tried asking again, no improvement.
  7. Rephrased and asked "Play this everywhere" and it does indeed play everywhere.
So siri seems to recognize that "all rooms" means everywhere, but just doesn't act on it. Whereas if you ask for "everywhere" straight off the bat then it works.

Interesting.

Thanks @Arran, that's the same behaviour that I have on my setup. When I say "play everywhere" it plays on 3 x HomePods AND the Apple TV, whereas if I say "Play in all rooms" it only plays on the original device where I requested it.

Seems like either a bug or a configuration issue. That said, I have all the HomePods setup in their respective rooms.

As you say, interesting :)
