Play music from NAS

Hi,
I'm looking for a recommendation of a media player that will allow me to seamlessly play music from my NAS drive (mounted using SMB) or via DLNA. I've tried using iTunes and keeping the files on the NAS, but iTunes takes a good couple minutes before playing each song. The songs play interrupted though.

i use VOX in my iMac and it plays FLAC files…all music files are stored in my Drobo 5D attached to my mini’s TB
