Play online games and downloading files at once?

Hey guys I just wondering how many of you guys play online games like WOW, Left4Dead, Call of Duty and downloading files (via Bittorent and such) at the same time?
Normally if I keep doing both, my ping usually will be higher like 100. But if I stop downloading files, the ping will do down to like 30, which is good.
So I have to sacrifice my downloading times in order for me to play online comfortably.
I'm wondering if you guys done the same thing too.

obviously if you're downloading something it's going to negatively affect your ping in a game since you're using most of your bandwidth to do the downloading. If I'm playing a game and happen to be downloading something at the same time, I'll just alter my download speeds to limit them to like 25/kbs down while I'm gaming, then I'll jack them up when I'm done...
