Hey guys,

Bit of a devious question ahead :D

I want to play a prank on a guy at work, by remotely playing audio through his internal speaker!

In the old days of Sun terminals, you used to be able to cat filename.wav > /dev/audio (for example), but if I look in /dev on a Mac I can't work out what the device is for audio

Can anybody help please? :D

If you have admin priv, you can remote login, and use system's speech feature to speak any text you send. Not sure if there is an app to do the same.

save a stream file in his iTunes then use the iPhone remote to play it remotely.

Of course this requires:

1. iTunes to be running

2. An iPhone or an iTouch with the 9.99 software upgrade.

Thanks for the responses thus far guys :)

I can ssh onto his machine, and get to root.

I want to get the internal speaker to play some music, but the speech is a really good idea too :D

I tried compiling the program I gave you a link to last night, but it won't compile under Leopard. I'm working on modifying it so I'll share it with y'all once I get it going.
