Play/stop button broken on Siri Remote after tvOS 14.5

Hi everybody,

I apologise if this is a duplicated discussion, but has anybody else experienced the play/stop button not working after their Apple TV updated to tvOS 14.5?

try rebooting the remote - hold menu and volume up for a few seconds

and if that doesn't help, reboot the aTV

I'd like to update you on this problem: I fixed it, but it was the Apple TV, not the remote, which caused the button not to work.
