For abour 2 months now (some one will correct me I am sure) Apple have been offering a free iPod nano. Now in the UK they are starting a similar offer where you get £100 rebate when you by a mac through the education store.
Why do they make things different? I know the UK has an advantage that you can pick any iPod but the rebate you get in the US is better (2GB nano vs. 1GB in UK) and the wording of the advert is far more appealing.
Also the machines are more in the UK to start with.
Please Apple, just make things simple!
