Playboy on iPad?

Will you want to read Playboy, Penthouse, Hustler, Swank or Popping Mommas on your iPad?

Imagine the applications for the porn industry. Think about the porn people. How come we have not heard of any secret Jobsian meetings with porn heavyweights?

Is Mr. Jobs going to keep us from seeing jobs? Will he block us from the porn world on his new device?
 
Apple blocks pornographic apps. You have Safari, likely no Flash. It does pdf.

The porn industry will like it - and it'll likely shift them away from Flash a bit.

Jobs would never NEVER meet with porn heavyweights. Apple's a family company.

If you can't find ifap.to and others, and use Safari, well, then the user will ahve to wait for the "how to find porn for the tablet" articles...

VHS won over Beta, in part because of the lack of porn on Beta. TRUE STORY. Let's see if the iPad flounders due to Apple's excessive control.
 
Try Zinio Reader. Free app on iTunes store. Digital versions of several magazines.

They also have an adult version for Zinio on your PC...Undercovermags.com....too bad it is not an iPhone app.

You're right, it is a true story. And all of the major porn sites have been offering videos in iPhone and iPod formats for several years now. So I guess Apple wins.

LOL at the analogy. i don't think regular people know or care about apple's "excessive" control, and it sure as hell wouldn't be a reason for them not to buy one. as long as it works without viruses they are happy.

Nobody wants to believe this, but I bet we owe more than we know to the porn industry's advances of the media industry...be it vhs over betamax...bluray vs. HD dvd.

Porn industry is like the black sheep to Apple, Inc.

I am starting to suspect that all the negative bloggers, articles are backed by MS, Google, etc conspirators. Purposely bashing the iPad in hopes of swaying the uneducated masses from buying it.

On a side note, remember the famous 1984 ad by Apple? Hmmm... who is BIG BROTHER now? MS, Google, Amazon, Apple???

Well, I never really thought about it since I don't watch porn, or read porn.
But, I'm sure that Playboy and all the other magazines that you listed will optimize their website. Maybe format the magazines into PDFs? Or use HTML5 to make it feel more like the real thing.
 
Pretty funny when I saw this thread, and then saw that I made it, and I was like... WTH.

Doubly funny given the news lately.

I personally would enjoy turning the page with the finger, like I'm physically turning a real page.. *shifty eyes* possibly launch it in landscape mode, and when turned vertically, drops down poster size/pinch zoom?
 
The iPad version of Playboy is the perfect medium for those who really do "just read it for the articles".

pdf. Seems P2P covers the needs well (though you might want to get a transcoding app/streaming app).

Well, you can go to the website and get the iphone application. As far as a magazine subscription, the question is how content is managed. If Apple manages the delivery of the content like Amazon does for the Kindle, I doubt that you will get Playboy.

I would, and do, read Playboy for its articles...of course the bewbies don't hurt its appeal.
