playing 1080p 60fps on mid 2009 mbp issue

I just got a sanyo hd camcorder n recording at the highest 1080p settings, when played back on mbp its very jerky. 720p runs smooth
quicktime x doesnt really do a smooth job and so does vlc and quicktime 7.


any ideas?

please note that 1080p 30fps works fine.
