Newbie here.

I am having issues with playing videos, I CANNOT play my iPhone videos on my Macbook Pro at all. I've tried both VLC and Quicktime.
These are videos that I shot with my iPhone & I cannot play them.

Does anyone have any resolutions to this? Unless I'm doing something wrong? I'm getting extremely frustrated with it. TIA.

In order to find out, what may be wrong with your video, you can use the following three applications to analyse a sample video file.
When done, you can use the "Report" (VideoSpec) and "Export" (Media Inspector) button to export a report,
attachable to your next post via the

button.
In MediaInfo you have to go to the Menu Bar, select View > Text and copy the text via CMD+A > CMD+C and paste it via CMD+V into your next post.

Thanks for the info but is there any other way around this, instead?

Probably.
Does the video play on your iPhone (which exact iPhone with which iOS version)? How did you transfer the video from that iPhone to your Mac?
What Mac OS X and iTunes and QT Player version do you use?

What is the problem with using VideoSpec or one of the other applications to make a report and attach it here? No video will be visible here.
