This s the first time i've used this forum. I'm new to Mac having been a Windows user for 15 years. I am absolutely loving using it, but am struggling to play a DVD. I have downloaded some content using a torrent and selected the 'burn to dvd' option. However, please can someone let me know how I can now view this? Ideally I would like to view this in my DVD player. Is there an additional piece of software i need or am i just missing a step? Help would be greatly appreciated!

  1. Go to the store
  2. Buy a DVD of the movie you want to watch
  3. Put that DVD in your player
  4. Watch it play

If you are talking about home-created content like home movies, and not a pirated movie (as is implied by "downloaded some content using a torrent") then you would have to use software such as iDVD and/or Toast to make a DVD Video format disc. You will not receive help here in burning pirated content, though.
