Playing Hi - Res on Mac Mini

So im giving Apple Music a whirl on my new Mac Mini. I have the DAC connect via USB to the Mini , yet I can’t get it to point to the output. I was able to point it to my Sonos, but trying to get hi res. Thanks

I don't have a DAC but I believe the DAC has to be recognized as an output device by the Mini.

Which DAC are you using?

You are looking in the wrong place...
Audio MIDI Setup.app is the place where you configure your output:


PS I would also check the built-in DAC on your new mac Mini.
As you can see above, my 2019 iMac has no trouble playing 96/24 also with internal DAC.
