Hey guys, is there any way to play songs on a mac/windows system directly off of the iPod? I've been doing some googling on the subject but haven't found any decent answers as of yet.

This works and I used to be able to do it when my iPod was synced manually, but apparently once you tie it to a particular library for automatic sync this is no longer possible.topicolo said:
You might be able to place a copy of foobar 2000 http://www.foobar2000.org on the iPod itself and be able to use that on Windows to play your library "remotely".
EDIT: Of course your iPod would have to be formatted for PC for this to work.
