You should be able to play media from the NTFS drive, as only reading is required, which Mac OS X does natively. What formats are the media files?

Also, I've noticed that many of the threads you've started are about topics that have been discussed many times in the forum. An alternative to posting a new thread and waiting for answers to these repetitive questions is to first search the forum for existing threads that contain the answers you seek. It's usually faster than posting and waiting, and you can always post additional questions in those existing threads. Be sure to note the dates of the threads, as some may be outdated.

From the Forum FAQ
How do I start a new thread?
To start a new thread:
  1. Browse or search the forums to see if there is already a thread on the topic. If so, post there instead of creating a new thread.
  2. Start at the main forum page.
  3. Click the name of one of the forums, e.g., Mac Basics and Help.
  4. Click the New Thread button at the top or bottom of the page.
