Playing show output to tv while able to charge the iPad

I bought some usb-C to HDMI with a USBC (allow charging) to the new 2022 iPad. Somehow playing any videos from the iPad to the TV works fine but it does not charge the iPad. Below is what I have. I also tried others but why does it not charge. As if so I cannot use the iPad as a Presentation device. We put it on the stand for conventions (coming up soon) for play materials for attendees. Any suggestions is appreciated.Output works but charging does not even using a Apple USB charger and Apple cable.

another option (other than using laptop) is to use Apple’s magic keyboard. Attach the charger cable to the keyboard.

These devices use power themselves and you don't get 100% pass-through. I use this hub with a 60W charger and connect my 2021 12.9 to a 4K monitor and it charges -
