macOS Playing Sound with Cocoa/Quicktime API

Okay I have blobs of sound files that I want to play various times throughout a program. They're in wave but I will probably change them to AAC.

Anyway, can somebody point me to the correct documentation on how to simply play sound files. I had a look through some of the Quicktime API Documentation eek myself but I don't *want* to edit sound/video files, just play them.
