iPod touch Playing through TV

I just bought the Apple A/V cables for my iTouch and I can't seem to get the video or audio to show up on the TV.

Any ideas?

What are u trying to make appear on the tv?
youtube appears and photos when u turn slideshow on but thats about it if u want everything to appear then jailreak it and install screensplitr it works great!
