Playlist disappeared from my phone

I noticed the other day that my "recently added" playlist disappeared from my iPhone, but still remains normal in iTunes on my MacBook. I've tried syncing again several times and it does nothing. Any advice?
 
Is this a playlist you made on your iPhone? When your iPhone is connected to iTunes, does this playlist show up as selected to sync to your iPhone? If not, select it to sync and you should be set, though it seems to me it should not have stopped syncing.
