When I got my Ipod Touch, it wouldn't display playlists correctly - the playlist on the Touch would contain completely different tracks to that on iTunes.

I installed 1.1.2 and it sorted it. Until yesterday. It's back to doing crazy playlists. I've not changed the software or anything. Anyone else having this problem?

I've tried restoring my iPod from iTunes, but no luck.

Oh...

I guess I'm the only person with this problem. Bugger!

No, I get this with some of my playlists also. What's more confusing is that my 'Top 25 Most Played' - a default iTunes playlist is the main one which is completely wrong from iTunes.

Most of my own playlists are fine.

Weird. I don't know of any solution either.

Funny, I am aslo only having problems with my "Top 25 Most Played" playlist. All the other ones are working correctly. It seems play count is not working as it should in the iPod Touch.

90% of my smart playlists are completely out of wack. Sucks for a guy like me who depends so heavily on playlists. This needs to be fixed, its unacceptable.

Until they fix it, a workaround I've been using is to have a separate playlist for the iPhone.

For example, Top 25 Most Play songs for iTunes would look like:
Limit to 25 items selected by most often played.

To get that same playlist to work properly on my iPhone, I had to create a new playlist that says:
Limit to 25 items selected by least often played.

In iTunes, this playlist will show you your 25 least often played songs, but when you sync it to your iPhone, the iPhone will actually show you your 25 most often played songs.

I'm assuming the Touch does the same "reverse" thing.

Thanks very much for that fix. I'll try it and let you know if it works.

It makes sense actually as when I last viewed the playlist on my iPod touch, I remember thinking, 'I never listen to that!"

Hmmmm, I've a 16GB Touch on 1.1.3, and have a similar problem. I've created a playlist on the Touch, and then drag/dropped all the tracks from Music into it. The playlist is sorted on album, and lists OK on my Mac, yet some albums ( specifically soundtracks ) play back in the wrong order.

Any ideas?
