playlists songs gone, no iTunes Music Library file

Is it possible to recover songs from a playlist?

I was reading over some posts on the subject, which mention moving the iTunes Music Library file. I see the iTunes Library file, but not the iTunes Music library file.

Different releases of iTunes have changed the names of some files and folders within the iTunes folder.

The file called "iTunes Library" is probably the one you're looking for -- that's what mine is named (I'm still on iTunes 10.7, though, not the latest).

To my understanding, "iTunes Library" file contains the playlists, album info, and metadata.
