Well, I must say that I am seriously wondering where was this my whole life.

I have so far tried two games and they both work pretty well.

To clear any confusion, it is using Wine to run games, but it still has extra bit of functionality added to that.

It's not gonna make me delete my BootCamp partition yet, but, it is a solid choice for those who want to play Windows games on Mac OS.

That's great, thank you! Excited to check this out.

Every time I've tried Wine it's just been a pain. This seems like using Boxer instead of DOSBox. It's essentially the same thing but far easier to set up.

I'll test this tonight. Thanks again for the heads up!

That is, as long as Mac OS still supports the OpenGL.

If Apple decides to go Metal only (and they probably will, sooner than we think), then only the Windows partition and games built using Metal will be the only option.

…unless Apple decides to switch to ARM CPUs. Then Windows also no longer will be an option.

I don't think so. They can just write a OpenGL -> Metal or whatever wrapper. Even DXVK to Vulkan to Metal is almost working… the removal of 32bits on the other hand will kill more games than the deprecation of OpenGL.

Would some thing like this work for World of Warcraft?

My kids use older Macs that use to run WoW perfectly on the MacOS, until Blizzard made the MacOS version of WoW Metal-GPU only.

I have since did boot camp for them, and they run great on there, but it would be nice for them to be able to play it within the MacOS again.

I have tried Parallels free trial, but the framerate was horrible on there.
