Hello,

I would really appreciate some help, im sorry if this seems a daft question, (and i have googled it and not found any solid answers) but i bought a ps3 yesterday and so far ive found the DVD upscaling is pants, its really grainy.

Set up:

LG 32" hd 720 connected via hdmi
Ps3 80gb model
with upscale options set to normal and Ps3 options set to 720 via hdmi.

Ive messed around loads and just cant seem to get the picture any good, which is well annoying.

Its also more annoying because i had my xbox 360 connected via vga and the upscaling was superb and required no messing around (and before anyone says just use 360, ive moved it into another room and want to keep blu ray player (ps3) in living room).

Any help would be aces!

Cheers

I haven't noticed any problems with upscaling on my PS3. In fact, I think it looks pretty good considering it isn't a dedicated upscaling DVD player. I assume you've downloaded all the firmware updates?
